Parents’ Night Out allows parents to enjoy a worry-free evening while their kids dive into an exciting night of games, crafts, music, and faith-filled fun.
Pastor Jay is a passionate and seasoned leader with over 17 years in ministry. Known for his dynamic preaching, biblical insight, and heart for church revitalization, he equips believers to grow in faith, love, and service. Under his Spirit-led leadership, Moweaqua First United Methodist Church thrives as a Christ-centered and community-driven congregation where all are welcome to encounter God and live out their divine calling.
Angie has served as the Financial Secretary at Moweaqua First United Methodist Church since 2007. She enjoys managing the church office and working closely with members. Though not a member herself, Angie considers the church her extended family and takes great pride in supporting its mission.
Diane has been a devoted member of Moweaqua First United Methodist Church since 1959. She began playing the organ in 1983 and has directed the choir since 1993. For Diane, music is a joyful and meaningful way to praise the Lord.
Heather has been faithfully serving as the church custodian since 2021. She and her husband, Chad, have been married for 12 years and are proud parents of four children. Heather takes great joy in her role and is thankful for the opportunity to serve the church community.
At Moweaqua First United Methodist Church, Holy Communion is a sacred encounter with the living Christ. Because this is Christ’s table, not ours, all are welcome to come and partake in this holy mystery, freely given for all.

Family & Friends Sunday at our church is a joyful celebration of faith, fellowship, and community. We extend Christ’s love beyond our walls, welcome new and familiar faces, and strengthen the bonds that remind us that no one walks the journey of faith alone.
I've been a member of this church for decades, and it has always felt like home. The music here is not only beautiful but also deeply uplifting, setting a tone for reflection and joy. Pastor Jemiriye "Pastor J" Fakunle shares the Word of God in a way that is both accessible and inspiring, guiding us to deepen our personal relationship with God. This church doesn't just serve as a place of worship; it plays an active role in our community.
All are welcome in its doors.
This church has been a wonderful blessing to me by challenging me to a closer walk with the Lord. Pastor Jemiriye, Grace and family love the Lord with all their hearts and it shows in all they do. If you are interested in diving deeper into the word of God, I highly recommend the Monday evening bible study. Come join us!
